DIY: Himmeli Ornaments

Modern Decorative Ornaments
DIY room decor pieces are my favorite to work on. I'm always up for a nice handmade piece that i can easily make and add to my room. These ornaments are just as easy to make and gives a modern chic look to the room. Super classy and will go with almost every room. Also, they can be used in
decor for events like bridal showers, weddings ect. Hang them with candle lights in them for a perfect outdoor event. There are so many kinds of geometrical shapes of these ornaments. I have made the triangular hanging ornaments as in the picture below. And a triangular standing ornament which is in the tutorial below.

Things you need:

- Golden ribbon

- Glue

- Scissors

- Clear tape

- BBQ sticks

- fish wire for hanging

Step#1:

Cut the bbq stick in equal length, whichever you prefer, i didnt measure them, just went with what looks okay, not too big, not too small. For a standing ornament you will need 4 larger ones, 4 medium ones, 4 small and 4 very tiny for the tiny square that is going to be what the ornament will stand on.

For a hanigng one, you will only need three sizes, 4 large, 4 medium and 4 small.

Measure the ribbon equal to the stick and cut it. Spread glue all over the ribbon and paste it around the stick wrapping it like in the picture below:

Now cover all the sticks the same way. You will be covering 4 large size sticks, 4 medium, 4 small and 4 very tiny ones.

Once all of them a covered, move to step number 2:

Step#2:

Now paste the sticks together, first the larger ones like this. It must look like a cross, like a plus sign. 

Finish off with pasting four of the medium ones on bottom, completing the pyramid shape.

Now you will have a pyramid that looks like this. Next step is to make a small square. You need to make this only if you are planning to make a standing ornament and not a hanging one. For the hanging one, you will only need to tape 4 more of the long ones making a second pyramid like in the very first pictures of the ornaments. 

For the standing ornament, join the tiny square to the pyramid with 4 long gold ribbon wrapped sticks and your ornament is ready. You and place it anywhere, with candle inside it, or a flower. Or even on it's own. 

Ornaments have so many different geometrical shapes. I have only made these two.

Miraculous Hair Products

Two Game Changing Products From OGX Hair

I recently discovered these two AMAZING hair products while shopping with my sister in Islamabad. I have been searching for the brand OGX in Lahore with no luck in finding them. So when i saw them at this shop in Islamabad i had to grab them! I just had to. And after using them for about a month now, I don't think i'll be using any other brand or product as much as i'll be using this one.

Now, first things first. My hair type. My hair are rough, overly treated by hair dyes, damaged and dry. Most of the days, they are just dead and dull and i have to put them in a bun. So i've been looking for some Keratin therapy and treatments for my hair. Why Keratin? because it defrizzes and smooths the hair. Keratin is a protein and a main ingredient in the outer layer of hair. So basically, my life saver. 

I have been wanting to get a keratin hair treatment from a good salon but haven't been able to yet, though i'm still considering in getting it, but until then, these two products that i bought are my two rescuers on my bad hair days. 

Seriously though, not over exaggerating, they really have changed the game for my hair. 

The first product is the 3 minute miraculous recovery hair mask:

You're suppose to be using this baby right after you shampoo, on damp hair. You apply it on, a small amount of it, from the roots to the ends, and leave it one for about 5 to 6 minutes. I would suggest you use a keratin shampoo with this. I use my keratin classic shampoo with this one, i found it in Jalal Sons lahore. It comes in this sleek looking purple colored bottle. Looks more like a wine bottle to me to be honest. Anyway, i will be posting all about that shampoo and other amazing shampoos to try in my next blog post. For until then, try finding the purple bottle in Jalal Sons. 

Coming back to talking about this mask, i say i have to give it a 9/10. On the results and everything. And when paired with the serum, these are my holy grail products for hair.

The serum comes in a small bottle, like in this picture below:

This anti-breakage serum's main ingredient is Keratin as well. It does have coconut oil, Avocado oils, and cocoa butter in it too. I love how this serum smells and how it makes your hair smooth and silky as they dry. Yes, you apply this serum on damp hair as well. But i dont apply it right after i wash the mask. I apply it after i'm done with my shower and i have dried my hair with the towel. So they are dry, but not soaking wet. I apply a small amount on my palm, rub my palms together and then run my fingers through my hair. Applying to all and every part of my head. And then i let my hair dry. I have noticed that they dry straighter and silkier. 

So I have been using these two products once or even twice a week now and i'm guessing i'll be going to Islamabad soon for getting them again.

Now the store where i bought them from goes by the name Hayee's. It's in Jinnah Super and as far as i remember i had to go upstairs, a very narrow stairs that lead to the shop. But the shop from inside, you guys, it was heaven. Also to mention, they have all the imported makeup items, the one's that you find on Sephora and struggle to find here in Pakistan.

Aiksessories

Brand Review
Aiksessories is a brand dealing with jewelry, perfumes, shoes, bags ect. It just came out and after stalking their instagram and facebook page i had to grab some of their items that i liked. In my post, i'm featuring all the Aiksessories items that i am totally in LOVE with! And i'm going to start with the Emoji indoor slippers. (IKR??)

I mean, just look at them!! I'm never taking them off! I live for winters, i'm all for cold weather, hot coffee and cozy slippers. So, guys, i'm going to introduce you all to my newest best friend. YUP!
And i have a feeling this one's going to stay with me for a looong time.

My second favorite thing from Aiksessories is their perfume, Far away bella!!
Not to mention, all of their perfumes are amazing but my heart picked this oneeeeeee. As you all know, i'm really not into girly perfumes and candy/fruity scents. Far away Bella is musky, floral and fresh. SO YES. Here's a picture of it.

Now, the bottle may seem a bit dull and the package is simple too. Don't go on it. JUST DON'T. It's the scent and how long lasting this perfume is that got my attention and love. If you're not into girly scents and powdery feels, and want something fresh that's going to last all day all night, then this one's for you. IF you like girly scents and candy like smelling perfumes than keep reading, down below are some of the other perfumes from Aiksessories that are very girly and fruity.

This one's my second favorite, it's called LUCK, it is girly, but not too girly. The scent is sweet and fresh and that's why i like it. Oh, and the fancy bottle!! 

Next up is FEMME, this one's very very girly. It's all things girly. Fruity, Candy, Sweet, all of these the notes in this one. I'm not sure how long lasting it is since i didnt use it. But as all of these perfumes are of the same brand "AVON" that is, i'm guessing it's as long lasting as Far Away Bella. 

The last one is Far Away, the girliest perfume on the planet. The notes of this one are familiar to FEMME, they are floral and sweet.

Next up are the jewelry items THAT ARE TO DIE FOR!

Look at themmm. The bracelets are delicate and beautiful. Specially the ruby one. Plus they come with warranty and are gold plated. Oh and not to mention, the jewelry keeps changing and new ones are coming with old designs discontinuing. So if you don't find the items featured in my blog, then you're too late and might want to hurry.

Rings and Bangles are all Indian and why i liked them? They be perfect to events, eastern events, weddings and other occasions. I never have good desi event jewelry. Most of the time i'm digging in my mom's jewelry drawer to find me something. So when i came across these, i had to, i just had to get my hands on these. Plus when i heard they won't lose their gold coating and dulls away like all those fake jewelry do. I was sold when i finally wore them. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. PERIOD.

What's In My Bag: Back To School Edition!

Summer Break Is Over!
I understand if you've gotten tan over the summer break and you're worried about going back to school with uneven, dull skin, so am i! So here is a list of makeup items i ALWAYS keep in my makeup bag that make me look fresh and blooming in school.

These are my everyday favorite products. Mostly from the drugstore.

The featured foundation base is my all time favourite CILINQUE SuperBalanced liquid foundation, the coverage is light and feels like skin. And this is why i LOVE it. Now who would want to cake up their face to school? I know I wouldn't. So this one is my best friend.

Next is my holy grail highlighter from COLOURPOP, in shade "lunch money". Why i love it? Because it's creamy and long lasting. Also, affordable. The shade is pearly and perfect for a fresh look. Paired with a rosey blush on, you bet it can make the dullest, sleepiest face look bright and bloomy.

Talking about a rosey blush, my bag features this perfect blush from The Balm, in the shade "LACE".
INSTAIN is long-wearing powder staining blush, and that is why i love it.

Next comes my favourite blush brush to apply my blush on with. And i'm featuring BH Cosmetic's Metallic Pink Blush Brush from their set. Why i love it? Mainly because of how soft and fluffy it is. And oh the metallic pink shade!

Mascara comes next, and my pick is my all time favourite and long lasting Rocket Volume from Maybelline.

CoverGirl lipperfection lipcolour in the shade Rush is my everyday, natural lip shade. It's not really matte and not really glossy. It gives more of a natural finish and that is what i like about it. It may not last all day long, but the shade is what i love about it. Makes my face pop whenever i wear it.

Lastly, how can a bag be good to go without a perfume in it? So my pick for daily wear is the one and only world famous scent, 5th Avenue by Elizabeth Arden. It's very Chic and fresh, and EVER LASTING. Seriously, it lasts the longest. And stays the same.

BTW Pakistan

BY THE WAY.
A new clothing brand, recently opened at MM Alam road, Lahore, has three things that got my full attention, Creativity and Chic designs, and not to forget, the quality of their clothes. It was on my longer than river Nile list to visit and see BTW Pakistan, and i finally got the chance to do it. And i have all the great thing to tell you guys about the trending brand. But first, Here's the kurta i bought.

You guys know how much i love bright and bold, playful designs, so when my eyes laid on this Kurta, i bought it, but obviously after i checked the lawn quality, which is almost the same as sapphire, almost. Sapphire lawn is my all time favorite!! I paired this kurta with Forever 21 diamond drop earrings and VS secret charm body mist, both of these things i got from ENEM liberty. THEY HAVE FOREVER 21 NOW!! And i will be doing a complete blog post on it but need to tell you guys that their accessories are AMAZING, and i got this pack of three earrings (the ones in the picture above) in PKR 860. It's wayyy better than Accessorize here. 

Anyway, back to the Kurta, i wore it to Islamabad to visit my Sister and my one and only niece, and i loved it, and they loved it too. So it's a win. You guys, go check it out, NOW, and as far as the price rang, i got this one for PKR 2200. So it's not that expensive.

The next thing i like about BTW is their scarf rang.

There's like a huge wall of scarfs all over it, and i matched this one with my kurta. The scarfs are big, so they can be used as a dopata with Kurtas, which i used it as. Wasn't going to, but my mom, you know? And it looked chic! I could've taken a picture of my outfit, but i forget in such a rush to get ready and hit the road. But i did take selfies LOL. I heart fashion, yes is do. I'm a shoppoholic, yes i am. And i find BTW another weakness for me now. Yes i do. 

Sign, i do have to collect money too you know for a new Ipod, i'm done with my old one, it's super slow and i've dropped it way too many times now. Typical me. But these brands are draining me out.
